Landslip Remediation Works

Townsville City Council is undertaking landslip remediation and environmental maintenance within the open space area upslope and adjacent to number 40 Mueller Street in Wulguru.

This project is part of Council’s ongoing commitment towards environmental management, which has identified the need for restoration works to mitigate landslips and enhance the resilience of the ridgeline.

As part of this project, Council will:

• carry out extensive earthworks, erosion control, and stabilisation works along the ridge to improve and maintain slope stability
• undertake detailed reshaping of the open space to align with natural environmental design principles.

What does this mean for me?

If you live near or are travelling through the area, you may experience:

• construction machinery and vehicle movement
• increased levels of dust, noise, vibrations and occasional odour
• temporary road and track access closures, minor traffic delays and reduced speed limits.

This project is proudly funded by the Commonwealth and Queensland Governments through the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements and delivered in partnership with Townsville City Council.
