Marina Surveying Works
As part of the preparation for future maintenance dredging in the Nelly Bay Marina, Council will carry out detailed underwater investigative works to identify any invasive species present in the area. The program will involve snorkelling and diving activities, bait trapping, and sediment sampling.
To support efficient field operations, access to private pontoons within the survey areas will be required. All dive and snorkel equipment will be hired locally, and a surface flag will be used to ensure safety during underwater activities.
Council appreciates the cooperation of local residents and stakeholders in supporting this important environmental assessment.
