Kerb and Channel Renewal Works
Townsville City Council is preparing to commence kerb and channel renewal works along Ingham Road, between Crowder Street and Meenan Street.
This project is part of our annual kerb and channel renewal program, which aims to address structural deficiencies and improve overall drainage in our Council controlled road network to enhance safety, reduce maintenance costs and improve the quality of life for residents.
As part of these works Council will:
- remove and replace the kerb and channel along Ingham Road, as indicated on the consultation graphic below
- install concrete median near the corner of Crowder Street
- remove and replace identified property driveway crossovers
- remove and replace road pavement and concrete path.
If you live in or are travelling through the area, you may experience:
- construction machinery and vehicle movement
- increased levels of dust, noise, and vibrations
- temporary disruptions to vehicle access to properties and some on street parking
- temporary traffic changes, including lane closures, minor traffic delays and reduced speed limits.
This project is funded by Townsville City Council.
