Bus Hub Maintenance Works

Council is undertaking garden bed removal and associated maintenance works along the pathway adjacent to the seating area within the Ogden Street Bus Hub, Townsville City.

These works are part of Council’s Capital Project program, which ensures that Council controlled roads and access networks remain well maintained, meet the community’s connectivity needs, and support the ongoing growth of our region.

As part of this project, Council will:

• remove identified garden beds and replace them with concrete that matches the existing pathway connector
• undertake landscaping works on the remaining garden beds to ensure that the foliage does not encroach upon the road corridor or pathway with the road corridor and pathway.

If you live near or are travelling through the area, you may experience:

• construction machinery and vehicle movement
• increased levels of dust, noise, vibrations
• temporary short-term closure of directly impacted bus stops
• the relocation of bus stops within the Bus Hub that are directly affected, to ensure community safety.
