Stormwater Drainage Roadworks

Council is undertaking stormwater drainage roadworks along identified sections of Castle Hill Road, Castle Hill, which will require temporary road closure during the works.

This project is part of Council’s annual Stormwater Drainage Renewal Program, which aims to maintain the underground stormwater network to ensure the community’s drainage needs are adequately met, while continue to protect property and reduce the risk of flooding.

As a part of this project, Council will:

• upgrade the damaged underground stormwater system located within the road corridor
• remove and replace the road pavement with new asphalt.

If you live near, visit or are travelling through the area, you may experience:

• construction machinery and vehicle movement
• increased levels of dust, noise, and vibrations
• temporary traffic changes, including full road closure and reduced speed limits.

Council advises that, due to the nature of these works, Castle Hill Road will be closed to all traffic from 5:30am to 3pm. Walking tracks will remain open throughout the duration of the works.
