Roadworks
What works are coming up?
Council is undertaking roadworks within the Charles Street and Lindeman Avenue roundabout in Cranbrook.
This project is part of Council’s annual Roadworks program, which aims to maintain our Council controlled road network to ensure the community’s transportation needs are adequately met and continue to support the growth of our region.
What will the works include?
As part of this project, Council will:
- remove and replace the road pavement with new asphalt
- painting road markings and installation of reflective markers or signage
What does this mean for me?
If you work in or are travelling through the area, you may experience:
- construction machinery and vehicle movement
- increased levels of dust, noise, and vibrations
- temporary traffic changes, including lane closures, minor traffic delays, bus stop relocations and reduced speed limits
- road resurfacing will be completed first, followed by a brief pause before line marking begins. Construction crews will not always be on-site
Council advises that this project will require bus stop relocations and re-route of the School Bus onto route 274.
Funding
Project funded by Townsville City Council.
