Roadworks

Council is planning to deliver roadworks along Denham Lane between Denham Street through to the Council controlled carpark in Townsville City.

This project is part of Council’s annual Roadworks program, which aims to maintain our Council controlled road network to ensure the community’s transportation needs are adequately met and continue to support the growth of our region.

The works will include:

• milling and replacement of road pavement with new asphalt
• installation of rubber speed humps
• reinstatement of road markings and installation of reflective markers or signage as required.

If you live in or are travelling through the area, you may experience:

• construction machinery and vehicle movement
• increased levels of dust, noise, and vibrations
• temporary traffic changes, including lane closures, minor traffic delays and reduced speed limits.
• Council may request residents to relocate vehicle
• Council will notify impacted properties seven days before work begins.
