Guard Rail Reflectors Reinstatement

What works are coming up?
Townsville City Council is preparing to commence guard rail reflector reinstatement works on Ewen Jones Bridge, Ingham Road. These works will include the temporary road closure of a section of Ingham Road that stretches from Mather Street to Duckworth Street, Garbutt.

Road closure between Mather Street and Duckworth Street to be put in place from 3am until 2pm Tuesday 9 December.

This project forms part of Council’s annual Roadworks program, which aims to maintain or improve our Council controlled road network. The program ensures our community’s connectivity needs are met and continues to support the growth of our region.

What will the works include?
As part of these works Council will reinstate guard rail reflectors on the Ewen Jones Bridge.

What does this mean for me?
If you live in or are travelling through the area, you may experience:

• construction machinery and vehicle movement
• increased levels of dust, noise, and vibrations
• temporary disruptions to vehicle access to properties and some on street parking
• temporary traffic changes, including lane closures, minor traffic delays and reduced speed limits.
