Webb Drive, Mount St John

Council is undertaking roadworks along Webb Drive between number 34 Webb Drive and Toll Street, Mount St John.

This project is part of Council’s annual Roadworks program, which maintains Council’s road network to ensure transportation needs are adequately met and continue to support the growth of our region.

As part of this project, Council will:

  • remove the surface of one lane each night, followed by sealing the following morning (6am – 8am)
  • lay new asphalt in the nights following the sealing
  • complete line markings and finishings on asphalt the following week.

Businesses and customers travelling through the area may experience:

  • construction machinery and vehicle movement
  • increased levels of dust, noise, and vibrations
  • temporary traffic changes, including:
    • lane closure for approximately one hour during the period of 6am – 8am for road sealing
    • reduced speed limits and minor delays during this period.

Council will strive to accommodate driveway access requirements during works where possible. Please talk to the on-site crew leader if access is required during work hours.

This project is proudly funded by the Queensland Government through the Transport Infrastructure Development Scheme program and delivered in partnership with Townsville City Council.
