Temporary Tank Installation
What works are coming up?
Council is undertaking the delivery and installation of a temporary water tank that will provide a sustainable residential water connection to allow Council to renew the existing Yarrawonga water tank.
This initiative reflects Council’s commitment to investing $352 million this year to enhance roads, transport infrastructure, parks, and water systems – ensuring all properties continue to receive efficient and reliable water service.
What will the works include?
As part of this project, Council will:
- undertake limited branch trimming on identified trees along Stanley Street to provide the safe delivery of the tank
- deliver and install the temporary water tank including associated infrastructure connections.
What does this mean for me?
If you live near or are travelling through the area, you may experience:
- construction machinery and vehicle movement
- increased levels of dust, noise, and vibrations
- temporary traffic changes, including road closures, minor traffic delays and reduced speed limits.
Jackson Semler is contracted to carry out these works.
Funding
Project funded by Townsville City Council.
