Riverway Lagoons

The two distinct lagoon areas vary in depth up to 2m.

The upper lagoon is designed for more formal uses, including an area for swimming laps. The upper lagoon also includes specific areas with handrails and suitable water levels for older people and people with disabilities.

The lower lagoon is more relaxed and is an ideal place for the kids to build sandcastles and play in shallow water while the rest of the family lounges on the timber decks in the shade.

Lockers are available for hire at the Riverway Lagoons change rooms.

Cost:

• 2 hours: $3.30

• 4 hours: $6.60

• 8 hours: $11.

In the interest of public health and safety, the following rules apply in and around Riverway Lagoon:

1. Children must be supervised at all times (Children 0-5 are to be within arm’s reach at all times) 

2. No diving

3. No running

4. No water bombing

5. Be respectful and mindful of others using the area

6. Bathing attire must be worn in the water, and infants and toddlers must wear nappies.

7. Alcohol and glass are not permitted

8. Do not litter – please use the bins provided

9. No smoking

10. No pets allowed within the fenced area

Current Opening Hours

• Open: 6am daily

• Close: 8pm daily

Lifeguard Hours

• 1 November to 30 April: daily from 6am to 8pm

• 1 May to 31 October: 6am to 6pm

There are 4 lifeguards present from November to April and during September, Christmas and Easter school holidays, with 3 lifeguards present at all other times.

Please note: The Riverway Lagoons gates are locked outside these hours.
