Environmental Maintenance Works

Council is undertaking landscaping maintenance and hazard reduction works within the Springbrook Lakes adjacent Fairfield Waters Drive, in Idalia.

This project is part of Council’s ongoing commitment towards environmental management, which has identified the need for environmental maintenance works in preparation for future aquatic vegetation harvesting works.

As part of this project, Council will:

• remove overgrown vegetation alongside the lakes edge to enable clear and safe access for future works
• Council staff will oversee and manage any environmental impacts resulting from these operations.

If you live near or are travelling through the area, you may experience:

• construction machinery and vehicle movement
• increased levels of dust, noise, vibrations and occasional odour.
