Event Road Closure
What works are coming up?
Townsville City Council is helping kick off the entertainment ahead of Jelly Roll’s inaugural visit to Townsville on Thursday, 6 November 2025.
More than 15,000 concertgoers are expected to converge on our city, reinforcing Townsville’s reputation as the entertainment capital of the north. To ensure safe and connected access to Queensland Country Bank Stadium, a road closure will be in place on Lowth’s Bridge, including Stanley Street between Hanran Street and Saunders Street, Townville City.
What will the works include?
- Temporary full road closure on Lowth’s Bridge including Stanley Street extending from Hanran and Saunders Street.
What does this mean for me?
If you work in or are travelling through the area, you may experience:
- Temporary traffic changes, including pathway and on-street parking closures, minor traffic delays and reduced speed limits.
Council advises that the Dean Street free car park will also be closed to all commuters from 2pm.
Funding
Project funded by Townsville City Council.
