Boat Ramp Closure and Repair

The Balgal Beach boat ramp is now closed for essential repair work to the ramp and pontoon walkway, which were damaged during flooding events earlier this year.

We appreciate your patience while this work is completed – alternative boat ramp locations in the northern beaches area include:

• Toomulla
• Bluewater
• Stoney Creek (Mt Low)

The works will include:

• damaged pontoon walkway will be repaired by Council’s contractors over the next two weeks
• damaged upstream section of the boat ramp will need further inspection and allow for the repair works to be
  undertaken.

If you visit or are travelling through the area, you may experience:

• construction machinery and vehicle movement
• increased levels of dust, noise, vibrations and occasional odour
• temporary closure of the boat ramp to allow for essential repair works
