Vegetation Management

Townsville City Council maintains a drain way along the south-west boundary of the Bolton Clarke Retirement Village that now requires maintenance to restore effective water flow.

To address this, Council will be undertaking environmental flow path maintenance works. The harvested vegetation will be repurposed into healthy living soils for use on other Council projects.

As part of these works, Council will undertake:

• vegetation clearing works using a small excavator
• removal of plant matter obstructing the drain’s flow path.

If you live in or are travelling through the area, you may experience:

• construction machinery and vehicle movement
• increased levels of dust, noise, and vibrations.
