Pimlico High School – Zone Signage Upgrade Works

Council is undertaking school zone signage upgrade works on Gulliver and Hugh Street and Fulham Road adjacent to the Pimlico State High School in Pimlico.

This project is part of our annual Minor Traffic and Safety Improvement program, which aims to improve the safety of the road users.

As part of these works, Council will:

  • remove existing school zone signage and replace with new upgraded signage
  • reinstate the works area to restore functionality and appeal.

If you live in or are travelling through the area, you may experience temporary traffic changes, including:

  • lane closures
  • minor traffic delays
  • reduced speed limits.

The Queensland Government jointly funds this project under the School Transport Infrastructure Program (STIP) and Townsville City Council. The works are being delivered by an approved Council contractor.
