Valve Gearbox Replacement Works

Council will be undertaking a valve gearbox replacement on Southwood Road, Stuart, as part of ongoing upgrades to the city’s water infrastructure network.

While no interruption to water supply is expected during the replacement process, residents and businesses in the area may experience temporary reductions in water pressure and flow throughout the day.

As part of these works Council will:

• isolate the DN600 Water Main
• remove and replace the valve gearbox
• check for leaks, alignment, and responsiveness
• restore the site to its original condition.

If you live in or are travelling through the area, you may experience:

• construction machinery and vehicle movement
• increased levels of noise and vibrations
• temporary traffic changes, including lane closures, minor traffic delays and reduced speed limits
• reduction in water pressure and flowdrops.
