Barrier Fencing Works
Council is undertaking barrier fencing renewal and associated maintenance work on a section of fencing within the Reid Park carpark in Railway Estate.
This project is part of Council’s annual road barrier and fencing maintenance program, which ensures that Council controlled road and carpark networks remain well maintained, meeting the community’s transportation needs while supporting the continued growth of our region.
As part of this project, Council will:
- remove the damaged barrier railings and replace them with new open-space bollards
- install a double-gate access point and pathway deflection rails.
If you park near or are travelling through the area, you may experience:
- construction machinery and vehicle movement
- increased levels of dust, noise, and vibrations
- temporary parking changes to the rear of the carpark.
This project is funded by Townsville City Council.
