Lighting Upgrade Works
Council is preparing to upgrade the open space lighting at the Riverway Complex carpark with environmentally sustainable, energy-efficient fixtures. This initiative will enhance community safety while reducing the park’s environmental footprint.
This upgrade is part of Council’s annual electrical maintenance program, which aims to maintain Council controlled lighting assets to ensure the community’s connectivity and safety needs are met while continuing to support the growth of our region.
As part of this project, Council will:
- removal of old lighting and reinstatement of lighting poles
- install new energy efficient lighting.
To ensure the work is carried out safely and efficiently, the carpark will operate under the following temporary conditions:
- Tuesday 7 – Wednesday 8 October:
- Section 1 will be closed for work
- Section 2 and 3 will remain open.
- Wednesday 8 – Thursday 9 October:
- Section 2 will be closed for work
- Section 1 and 3 will remain open.
- Thursday 9 October – Saturday 11 October:
- Section 3 will be closed for work
- Section 1 and 2 will remain open.

- temporary parking changes, including section closures, minor traffic delays and reduced speed limits.
