Roadworks

Council is undertaking roadworks along Hamilton Street between the street boundaries of Walker Street and Melton
Terrace, in Townsville City.

This project is part of our annual Roadworks program, which aims to maintain our Council controlled road network to ensure the
community’s transportation needs are adequately met and continue to support the growth of our region.

The works will include removal and replacement of the:

• kerb and channel along Hamilton Street and Melton Terrace
• identified property driveway crossovers
• footpath with a new concrete pathway.

If you work in or are travelling through the area, you may experience:

• construction machinery and vehicle movement
• increased levels of dust, noise, and vibrations
• temporary traffic changes, including lane closures, minor traffic delays and reduced speed limits
• temporary disruption of vehicle access to properties.
