Animal Management Reference Group

Purpose

The Animal Management Reference Group assists Council’s Environmental Health and Regulatory Services Team with the development of animal management policies and practices. The group will aim to:

  • promote the responsible care and ownership of animals
  • provide guidance on domestic animal initiatives in the community
  • raise issues from the community on animal management issues

Membership

The group will consist of Council staff, local professionals in an animal related field, and one representative from the community.

Terms of Reference

The terms of reference describes the purpose and structure of the reference group. It defines the scope of the group detailing the groups composition and objectives, providing the framework for the groups operations. The terms of reference also identifies the duties and responsibilities of members and the chair, the terms of membership, roles and responsibilities, conflict of interest, meeting information and conduct requirements.
