Programs for Children and Young Adults

Community Displays

Community Displays are an opportunity for local community groups (including sporting clubs, hobby and craft groups, self-help and community organisations, non-profit and for-profit organisations) to exhibit displays of community interest to members of the public. The library strives to be a place for everyone in the community to access information.

Apply for a free display space at any Citylibraries branch. Exhibition dates are available all year.

Community Pantry

Citylibraries is a place where everyone is welcome. The Community Pantry is a service that provides food and household items to individuals and families who may be dealing with hunger and food scarcity.

Visit your local Citylibraries to take what you need and contribute what you can.

We encourage donations from individuals and families who have surplus non-perishable food items, sanitary products, and other household essentials.

Items include:

  • canned fruit, vegetables, soup, meat and fish
  • noodles, pasta, and rice
  • dried beans, lentils, quinoa
  • cooking oil
  • pasta, stir-fry and other meal sauces and boxes
  • baked beans and spaghetti
  • powdered or long-life milk
  • flour, dried herbs and spices
  • crackers, nuts and cereal
  • personal hygiene and sanitary items.

The Community Pantry is operational during Citylibraries opening hours at the following locations:

  • Citylibraries Riverway
  • Citylibraries Aitkenvale
  • Citylibraries Flinders Street.
