Council's Cultural Grants support initiatives via the provision of financial assistance to the local Townsville arts and culture community.
Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF)
The Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) is a partnership between state and local governments which invests in quality arts and cultural experiences across Queensland based on locally determined priorities.
RADF promotes the role and value of arts, culture and heritage as key drivers to: support diversity and inclusiveness; grow strong regions; and provide training, education and employment opportunities for Queensland artists and local communities.
$1,000 - $10,000.
There are two funding rounds per year:

Community Heritage Grants
This program aims to assist organisations that play an active role in preserving Townsville's history and heritage.
Up to $5,000.

Community Grant Acquittal Form
Townsville City Council requires that all recipients of Community Grants must complete an Acquittal within twenty eight (28) days, unless otherwise advised, of the completion of their project. The Community Grant Acquittal Form must be completed by all Community Heritage Grant recipients.
Theodore Kuchar Scholarship for Excellence in Music
The program aims to support emerging Year 11 Townsville orchestral musicians with the costs of tuition and professional development. Council delivers this scholarship in partnership with the Australian Festival of Chamber Music.
