Walking Track Remediation
What works are coming up?
Townsville City Council is preparing to undertake additional remediation work along the Mount Louisa Walking Track, located off Bayswater Road near Weston Street.
The track will remain open for public use, with small sections closed during works.
Funding
Assistance provided through the jointly funded Commonwealth-state Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA).
What will the works include?
As part of these works, Council will close portions of the walking track for one week. The track will remain open for the public to use.
Works include:
- reinforcing track edges
- clearing rocks
- repairing damaged surfaces and removing fallen branches and protruding roots.
What does this mean for me?
If you live in or are travelling through the area, you may experience:
- construction machinery and vehicle movement
- increased levels of dust, noise, and vibrations.
