Profile

Councillor Brodie Phillips is a born and bred Townsville local. He attended Wulguru State School and William Ross State High School. He went on to complete a Diploma of Justice Studies at TAFE Queensland. Cr Phillips has 6 years’ experience working within the Justice space, in both the juvenile and adult systems. He has also worked in the retail, banking and finance industries.

Cr Phillips moved to Division 2 in 2018 and fell in love with the area. His passion for the community was sparked by his involvement in the local area’s Facebook page, as he used this platform to promote local businesses of all sizes, inform the community of events, developments and issues, run community engagement activities and assist residents with a range of concerns.

He loves his sport, particularly Rugby League, and is an avid supporter of the Cowboys. Cr Phillips envisions that Townsville will be a place where residents can live, work and play, no matter their interests.

He is married to Madison and they have two sons, Boston and Zavey.
