Townsville City Council’s street art collection extends art experiences outside Council's buildings to activate community spaces, grow audiences and foster collaborative relationships.
Townsville’s city streets, laneways, and alleyways showcase a range of vibrant and innovative street art murals by local and internationally renowned artists such as ROA, HAHA, Claire Foxton, Nicky Bidju Pryor, Kennie Deaner and The RUN Collective.
Street Art Walking Trail

Outdoor Free Walls
Want to have a go at creating your own street art?
Council has dedicated two Outdoor Free Walls for the public to use at Murray Skate Park and Riverway Skate Park.
Local Street Artist Call Out!
Townsville City Council is looking for local street artists to expand the existing street art trail and further activate the city. If you’re a local professional or emerging street artist that would like to be considered for future street art projects and professional development opportunities, please register your details.
Artists who submit their details will be recorded in the Townsville City Galleries, Local Street Artist Registry.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists are encouraged to apply.
Street Art Toolkits
The Street Art Toolkits form part of the Street Art Activation Framework, which aims to take a proactive approach to street art initiatives throughout Townsville.
The Property owner toolkit provides information to property owners on how to find and commission a street artist whereas, the Artist toolkit guides artists on how to get their street art approved.
