The Development Application Process

Find out how to prepare and lodge a development application, and the development assessment process that occurs after lodgement.

Pre-lodgement Meetings

If you have questions about your proposed development, request a free pre-lodgement meeting to go over your plans with a Council planner beforehand.

Fast-tracked Applications (Plan Right)

Plan Right and Plan Seal are accelerated assessment initiatives for progressing low risk development applications and survey plans.

Preparing an Application

Learn how to prepare a well and properly made application to ensure there are no delays after you lodge.

Lodging an Application

How to lodge your application, and the development assessment process after it has been lodged.

Applications on Public Notification

Public notification provides the community with the opportunity to look at a proposed development, consider the likely impacts the proposal may have on them, and provide comment about the proposal prior to a decision being made.

Infrastructure Charges

Council levies infrastructure charges against certain development types, and provides a way to calculate the cost of an infrastructure charge.

Standard Conditions

The more common conditions imposed by Council have been standardised to provide the industry with consistent and acceptable outcomes.
