Further Traffic and Parking changes
Events and games at the Queensland Country Bank Stadium will cause other traffic and parking changes. These changes will be:
- Parking is free from 2pm in the CBD on stadium event days. You will not need to display a ticket on your vehicle after 2pm. Please note: Stadium Restricted Parking within blue and orange zones still apply – for more information view our Stadium Restricted Parking Area map.
- Dean Street Car Park will be closed from 2pm on event and game days. Alternative parking is available in the CBD.
- Lowths Bridge on Stanley Street will be closed before and during the game due to pedestrian traffic.
The new stadium is bringing great economic benefits to our city centre and local businesses. While this means that some traffic and parking restrictions have been introduced, Council wishes to alleviate issues and still make the CBD easily accessible to the people who work there. Parking is free from 2pm in the CBD on stadium event days. You will not need to display a ticket on your vehicle. |
