Councillor Kristian Price was born in Brisbane and has been a resident of Townsville for 43 years. Raised in the Rasmussen and Kelso areas, he continues to call this community his home and is the proud parent of four adult children.

Cr Price's professional journey encompasses various roles, including youth work, mining, manufacturing, and civil works. Additionally, he has owned and operated small businesses in the past. Outside of his professional life, Cr Price enjoys pursuing hobbies, such as playing golf and passionately following rugby league and rugby union.

With deep ties to the Rasmussen and Kelso areas, Cr Price is committed to giving back to the community that has been his home for decades. He sees himself as a voice for the Upper Ross area in Council, dedicated to fostering its growth and prosperity. Cr Price is particularly concerned about the safety and security of the community and is determined to advocate for necessary improvements.

Cr Price acknowledges the challenges facing Townsville, particularly the increasing juvenile crime rates. While he values the Council's efforts in tourism and beautification, he believes that the focus should shift towards addressing the immediate needs of the residents.

Cr Price emphasizes the importance of listening to the community's concerns and taking proactive steps to address them. He is committed to ensuring that Council becomes more responsive to the needs of its citizens, prioritising their safety and well-being above all else.
